A tribute:

DSC00955

Eight years ago,

on this very night,

something magical happened and we found ourselves having a brand new choice.

Eight years ago,

on this very night,

i wept with u, they were tears of joy.

Eight years ago,

on this very night,

I was a part of a new tomorrow, a part of making history ,in our mundane lives

Eight years ago,

on this very night,

i was young and full of drive.

Eight years ago,

on this very night,

I was embraced with abundance of love, sparks danced in my eyes,

Eight years ago,

on this very night,

my heart felt that it would never die.

Eight years ago,

on this very night,

the night was charged and sparks shot into the sky bereaved of light,

Eight years ago,

on this very night,

I was counting the stars, merry in the night

Eight years later,

on this very night,

I am all alone,

memories,

fills the still night..

eight years now,

on this very night,

where are u wandering ,

alone in this miserable night.

eight years now,

when u look back

do u still remember

do u..

still remember

u & i

yes, indeed it was an eventful day for me yesterday… started with me deliberately picking my favorite old black tee from the wardrobe to wear to work… busy exchanges of messages over sms, msn from early morning with all who remembers alike… in the afternoon, an interview was arranged for an old colleague with the reporter (coincidently on this date) and another old colleague came along and we had such a nice talk… on the way back to office, bumped into another old colleague (whom i occasionally meet in my neighbourhood but was rather surprising to see him in the company)… and finally just before i got into the lift, bumped into yet another two old colleagues (well, we still are colleagues now but we seldom get to see one another…) unfortunately, as if there isn’t enough for me to remember about this special day, the day had to end with another unhappy event which makes myself and another dear friend really unhappy… why why why? :(

    Hi Bryan,

interesting how I chance upon your this site and seeing this blog posting of yours. many of us still remember you guys especially you who’s constantly changing cars and how some of us were so star struck then whenever we saw some of you guys coming in to work.

But do you still remember those chaps that hangs out at the door leading the lift lobby – puffing away and yakking and bitching about our work?

Well many missed those days just like you. and many like you including myself had moved on to greener pasture. We win some and we loose some.

Nevertheless, I’m proud to say we were once colleagues and once again I look upon your guidance here for my first trip to Greece- Athens after many years of drought in business trip to a far away land.

To a familar face and long time acquitance, take care and Cheers to life!

Though time may fly by but our memories forever lingers on. We learn from our past so we can be a better person now and in the future. Good memories are meant to treasure and bad ones are meant to learn and change for the better.

    Those were the days …

Hi…I was there at the University Cultural Centre during the Channel U launch as a student usher. We were so star-strucked that night! Some of us even managed to sneak a few of the leftover goodie bags, myself included. And we wore the t-shirts when news broke of the merger. Time flies…anyway, great seeing you at the PA talk on house decor last week. Thanks for the tips!

Hi, Mr Bryan Wong, I happen to chance upon your blog from Mdm Quan Yifeng’s blog.

I am just an audience, but believe me when I say that the birth of U & I is such a joyous news for us viewers…as we no longer have to be subjected to …well… you know.

For me, it was especially meaningful cos I had the chance to translate the subtitles for a couple of U shows…like…Fang Shiyu (starring Zhang Weijian and Tian Niu), and the sit-com starring a lot of you guys from U, and even the writer Mr Wu Weicai…about an advertising firm. Believe me when I tell you I had great fun replaying the footages to catch the time-code for a single line of dialogue, because you guys made it fun even if I watch it ten thousand times!

Eight years later…at least we still see you, Quan Yifeng, Guoliang…Xie Yunyi…Adrian Pang……

Just looking at you guys, I can pretend I’m still watching the same U.

Perhaps something has changed, something has passed on…

But you, and your friends, can still put in the same love the same joy the same vibe…for us viewers who still look at you guys with the same gratitude and enjoyment.

    God bless.
