Global Warming: Act now or continue to ignore

Flyin off to Japan tonight..once again, taking to the skies, to land once again in a foreign land, where new experiences and discoveries awaits… Quite an irony, as i embarked on every trip, i make new discoveries, new friendships and at the same time, i seemed to be drawing away from my friends here, almost as if i have become a hermit…distant and forgotten by people i know, back here, at home. Though one could argue that i could have made an extra effort to touch base with friends back here but, however, minus the days when i am doing a new programme “Glamour Mum”, the time left for me was spent on getting stuff for the next trip and on snoozing off..as i am constantly feeling tired…

I used to be an avid fan of aeroplanes..as in flying around..rather enjoy taking off into the skies and just being up there..still enjoy it but however, visibly less ..Guess that must be human nature, when you have little of it you’ll yearn for more..too much of it, the appetite might weaken and so die…Fortunately, my love for visiting a foreign land has yet to diminsh..in fact, it has grown and actually, it has nurtured, or should i say, awaken something inside me.. and that would be ” Global Warming”.

As i travelled to all these lovely destinations, it dawned on me that something ain’t right..the weather mode contradicts what we have known for ages, for winter and spring has delayed their steps far too long..With the recent disasters happening one after another, my dear friends, we might not be able to enjoy earth as much as we had before if we don’t do something about it..It has to be a collective effort and it starts with each and every individual. Don’t question the good that one can do to save the environment, even if you think that what you could do does not amount to much..If your friends are not doing it, perhaps try to influence them and get into the act of being environmentally friendly. Start recycling stuff, support products that are environmentally friendly.. Act now rather then regret later if anything should hit you closer then what you see happening now. Whatever that is happening now, i think, are warnings from mother earth herself..should we heed it or turn a deaf ear to it?

“World peace seems to be on the top of the priority wishlist in every pageant. But, we are far from it. With all the war and fighting that is going on”peace” seems to be drifting away from us. And now, nature is turning her back on us too, as what we have done to the environment for the past years has apparently disrupted the “peace” that we so enjoyed.

So, the question is, what should be on our priority now?

It is an obvious answer. As all ordinary folks can see.

Sadly, some are oblivious to it.

And these “some”, could have made a world of difference.

It’s so sad to see so many people died due to the disasters happened recently. Feel really sorry for them.

When the earthquake strikes szechuan, my uncle was actually working in chengdu. The whole building swayed for a few minutes, as if the whole buiding is going to collapse. He said it was the most terrible moment in his life.

Luckily he managed to get a flight back to singapore three days after the disaster. Really happy to see he ‘s fine!

However, i really hope that everyone will do their part to save the mother earth. Everyone has a role to paly. Do not think that what you have done do not contribute much. Actually it causes a lot of difference. Start it today! Do not wait for other people to do it.

Btw, wanna wish you all the best. Have a wonderful trip to Japan! Bon Voyage! Don’t forget to take more photos and share with us.

    Take Care!

global warming has indeed become ans serious issue… especially so when some disasters strike, though some may not be man-made, but global warming is one of which causes the weather to change dramatically, and it is indeed by us, human beings…
so it is important for us to acknowledge this problem and start from the slightest initiation like re-using plastics and proper disposal…
every one putting in a little effort makes a whole lot of difference!

    hello bryan..
dun think you are forgotten by your friends, just that they are giving you the time and space to foucs on your work and to rest.. =)
well, about global warming, me felt the same way too.. I usually travel during the cooler seasons… in recent years, i noticed that the temperature during those seasons was usually much higher than what we have expected it to be… and the temperature is still rising, drastically… it’s kind of scary. and yes, i feel that each and evey effort counts, no matter how little… and everybody has to start early and play our part in saving the earth.
and the china quake, it happened during my overseas trip and i experienced the power of the media and how the media are able to control the amt of info u are receiving… thru the news there, i only knew there was an earthquake of abt 7.9 on the Richter scale. about the damages, it was just brushed through briefly… only when i was back in singapore that I realised the extent of the damages the earthquake caused… really astonishing!
well, for now, guess all of us really have to ” wake up” and not take for granted the things we are having now… keep in mind the 3R’s – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and practise it in our everyday life…
in the meantime, enjoy japan if you are still there, if u r already back then have a good rest….coz i think travelling always sapped up most of our energy and we only realised how exhausted we are when we are back home.
    take care… =)

    WORLD IS CHANGING

During my younger days, I don’t know what is recycling and also very ignorant. My mindset has changed when I stepped out to work. Reuse the unwanted papers, bottles etc.

    ************************************************************************************

Don’t worry, Bryan. Don’t think you’ve forgotten about us. Strongly believe deep down in your heart there’s still a space for us.

We (as your friends) understand how difficult (at certain times) you wanna keep in touch with your friends but it is just the “TIME” doesn’t allow you to do so. At least we’re sure we are not forgotten.

“Friends are there when you need them.
Friends are there when you need a listening ear.
Friends are there when you are trouble.
Friends will go through the life together, no matter good or bad days.
Friends are not to possess them; it is to let them to have freedom.”

There are more feelings which I didn’t list down here but deep down in my heart – friends to me are beyond words to describe.

Most important thing is believe in yourself and doing the best for everything you are doing – because you can do it.

Remember – Do not give up in your belief.

    Cheers,
    Gin

Hi Bryan, this comment might be a little late… i totally agree with you that global warming is really affecting the world…esp in Australia whereby winter is not as cold as it use to be. and summer is getting tremendously hot…I think this is telling us: we should all put our hands together to save the world…a tiny little effort by each individual put together make a real difference..And most importantly appreciate what nature has initially given us..It will be too late for regrets once our natural resources start to deplete..

Hope you have fun travelling… And thanks for sharing with us your wonderful discoveries around the world… it really widen myknowledge as well…
